Graham Cawthon runs the website thehistoryofwwe.com. According to the site's FAQ page, Cawthon began gathering live pro wrestling event results in late 2001 / early 2002 and founded the website in February of 2002. Over the past number of years, Cawthon's site has become one of the leading sources for all things wrestling having been frequently cited in shoot interview videos and numerous podcasts. This is the first of four (a fifth is due in June 2015) volumes of the many results compiled by Cawthon. Cawthon's site is an a as complete as possible collection of results from the world of pro wrestling. On the sites FAQ page, the author refers to himself as "just a devoted fan with time on his hands," but his work is (both the in the books and on the site) are regarded much more highly than perhaps any other pure fan work.
Cawthon's first outing is an amazingly detailed chronological listing of all available WW(W)F results from the period of 1963-1989. The book gives results, attendance figures (when available) specific notes related to significant cards (when applicable) and makes note of other events related to pro wrestling history (i.e. birth dates of later performers.) Thanks to his amazing level, readers have easy access to a great collection of results from a classic period of wrestling which includes phantom title switches, unlikely pairings and virtually forgettable federation debuts.
Some readers have noted issues with ebook formatting. Though this was not the case with my experience, this is not uncommon for ebooks especially in cases of books with a particular text layout. While an ideal book would have every result from every show, this would be a near impossible feat and is an unrealistic expectation for readers to have.
The History of Professional Wrestling Vol. 1: WWF 1963-1989 is a tremendous book that has a great deal of unique information. Highly reccommended for all wrestling fans, especially those who have an interest in info concerning classic WW(W)F.
